SEND Play Session
SEND (special needs and disabled) play session at Aldenham Adventure Playground includes all day use of the inside play centre with sensory rooms, arts and crafts and lots of different toys. Plus the outdoor adventure play area (exclusive until 11am) with sand pits, a hobbit tunnel, climbing frames, a zip wire and more all for £6 per child.
Parking not included.
Our indoor facilities include a large main hall where we run arts and crafts sessions. It also has lots of toys and a softplay ball-pool for children to enjoy and have fun in an unstructured environment.
The main hall provides a versatile space which can accommodate a variety of possibilities including free play, creative activities and educational workshops. The lighting allows different ambiances including coloured lights, bright work light and a softer option. Other smaller rooms provide a range of experiences, including sensory play and chill out space.
There is underfloor heating throughout the building and we also have a separate kitchen facility and small dining area which can be used by schools and groups. Tea and coffee are available for parents and carers (for a small donation).
The outdoor playground is designed to harmonise three different areas of free style, sensory and adventure play. Accessible in all seasons, it is set in a natural woodland which enhances the whole experience.
The Hobbit Tunnel is tactile with neon and touch sensitive lighting and gives a higher vantage point on the overhead bridge. A sandy play area to its rear contains various hand crafted timber characters and animals, hidden objects and a sleeper style climbing wall.
Play equipment suitable for under 12s.
Booking for play sessions and events is available online.
