LSO Discovery: Relaxed Performances

The London Symphony Orchestra is providing individuals and groups of adults with learning disabilities, their supporters and carers with the chance to experience the world-famous LSO in relaxed and informal settings. These public events include Open Rehearsals with the London Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican, and presented Relaxed Performances (chamber music performances) at LSO St Luke’s.

Relaxed Performances are your chance to listen to chamber music performances by LSO musicians. These concerts take place in the beautiful surroundings of LSO St Luke’s on Old Street. The concerts are informal and are presented by Rachel Leach. There is sometimes a chance to ask questions at the end of the concert.

This concert features LSO Principal percussionist Neil Percy and Co-Principal trombonist Peter Moore.

All the events are free but you need to book in advance. You can apply for places for one Open Rehearsal per term, and two Relaxed Performances per term. This is because the events are popular and we want as many people to experience them as possible.

Bookings will close at midday on Tuesday 23 April 2019. We will contact you later on that week to let you know if you have been allocated spaces to your chosen event/s.
