London Symphony Orchestra Open Rehearsal
The London Symphony Orchestra is providing adults with learning disabilities, their supporters and carers with the chance to experience the world-famous LSO in relaxed and informal settings. These public events include Open Rehearsals with the London Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican, and presented Friday Lunchtime Concerts and Relaxed Performances (chamber music performances) at LSO St Luke’s.
This is a chance to hear the orchestra rehearsing in the Barbican Hall. You’ll get a sneak-peak into how a professional orchestra works – the orchestra may stop and start, and it’s more relaxed than attending an evening concert.

You are welcome to leave the rehearsal during the break (approx. halfway through the rehearsal) if the rehearsal feels too long.
As the orchestra is working, we ask that everyone tries to be as quiet as possible and refrains from clapping. We understand you may need to leave the hall during a rehearsal and you are welcome to do so during a loud section of music, or when the orchestra stops playing.
All the events are free to attend but you may need to book in advance.
Please book places for Open Rehearsals by contacting Celia Wynne Willson at firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 020 7382 2556 by the end of the day on Friday 4 January 2019.
