www.jweb.org.uk is an online resource for the learning disabilities community in the UK. We are a charity and provide news, events listings and blogs for parents, carers and professionals working with people with special needs. We stem from a Jewish base but provide information, connections, events for everyone no matter what their faith.

We are looking for a co-ordinator for 2 days per week to oversee the website and its associated projects. This is a flexible working position reporting to the JWeb Manager, and we will consider working from home or from the office. Salary according to experience.

You will:

  • Maintain and update our website including (but not limited to) a service directory, news, events listings, blogs and a noticeboard
  • Co-develop new projects to support the inclusion of people with learning disabilities in their local communities
  • Undertake research and disseminate your findings through the website
  • Produce and implement marketing and PR campaigns
  • Maintain an administration database (Mailchimp)
  • Liaise with organisations and people listed on the site
  • Service a Steering Group
  • Support building and maintaining a presence on social media
  • Respond to queries from website users
  • Write and send out e-newsletters
  • Manage and recruit volunteers

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience of the learning disabilities sector
  • Good research skills
  • Good writing skills
  • Great networking skills
  • Social media marketing skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
